Police update to deadly train vs pedestrian accident Saturday night



Flagstaff, Ariz.- The Flagstaff Police Department is investigating a collision involving a train and pedestrian that occurred in the downtown area of Flagstaff near E. Route 66 and N. San Francisco Street on December 10th, 2022. A male was run over by a train and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At approximately 11:42 PM, Flagstaff Police Officers responded to the intersection of E. Route 66 and S. San Francisco St regarding a report of a male being ran over by the train. Responding Officers arrived and located the male decedent, identified as Jonah Bullard, 27, Flagstaff. The train was eastbound while stopped for a different investigation taking place at Ponderosa Pkwy and E. Route 66. The train started moving upon completion of the unrelated investigation while Mr. Bullard was in the process of crawling underneath the train.

Officers and Medical personnel arrived on the scene and Mr. Bullard was pronounced deceased at 11:59 PM hours.
