WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 5 PM MST SUNDAY ABOVE 3500 FEET
Winter Storm Warning issued January 6 at 2:10AM MST until January 7 at 5:00PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ
* WHAT…Periods of snow expected. Winds gusting as high as 50
mph, causing blowing and drifting snow.
* WHERE…Areas above 3500 feet near Doney Park, Flagstaff,
Forest Lakes, Heber-Overgaard, Kachina Village, Munds Park,
Payson, Pine-Strawberry, Shonto and Williams.
* WHEN…From 2 AM to 5 PM MST Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring
down tree branches.
Snow forecast from 2 AM Sunday to 5 PM Sunday:
Doney Park 3 to 5 inches Flagstaff 4 to 8 inches
Forest Lakes 6 to 10 inches Heber-Overgaard 3 to 5 inches
Kachina Village 5 to 9 inches Munds Park 6 to 10 inches
Payson 5 to 9 inches Pine-Strawberry 6 to 10 inches
Shonto 3 to 5 inches Williams 4 to 8 inches
