Original Report

At 3:56 PM Friday afternoon, Arizona State Troopers and Summit Fire & Medical Battalion Chief 30 and Engine 32 were dispatched to a report of a Vehicle Fire in the area of Interstate 40 eastbound near mile marker 227. This is approximately 26 miles east of flagstaff. Callers are reporting that a semi truck is smoking and the driver is outside of the vehicle.
