The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for…
Coconino County in north central Arizona…
* Until 545 PM MST /645 PM MDT/.
* At 252 PM MST /352 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area from near Gray Mountain
to just south of Desert View. Between 0.75 and 1.75 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

Tappan Spring, Cameron, Gray Mountain and Little Colorado River
Navajo Tribal Park.
This includes the following highways…
U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 454 and 467. State Route 64
between mile markers 269 and 295.
This includes the following swimming holes…
Tappan Spring.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers…
Tonahakaad Spring, Campbell Francis Wash, Deer Tank Wash, Tappan
Wash, Burro Canyon Wash, Lee Canyon, Jackrabbit Wash, Mays Wash,
Moenkopi Wash, Cedar Wash, Needmore Wash, Little Colorado River and
Landmark Wash.
Safety information
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.
