Alert details
At 718 PM MST /818 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms
produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen. No additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

This includes State Route 64 between mile markers 294 and 295.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers…
Needmore Wash, Campbell Francis Wash, Lava Wash, Burro Canyon Wash,
Tappan Wash, Cedar Wash and Little Colorado River.
Safety information
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.
Avoid recently burned areas and downstream locations.
Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads, and normally dry washes
will occur. Rockslides and mudslides will likely occur in steep
terrain.
