Alert details
At 614 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Stoneman Lake,
or 16 miles east of Sedona, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Stoneman Lake, Apache Maid Mountain and Munds Mountain Wilderness.
This includes Interstate 17 between mile markers 307 and 316.
Safety information
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
