* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Coconino County in north central Arizona…
* Until 515 PM MST /615 PM MDT/.
* At 447 PM MST /547 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 12
miles west of Wupatki National Monument, or 29 miles north of
Flagstaff, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include…
Wupatki National Monument, Doney Mountain, Gray Mountain, Wupatki
Visitors Center and Cameron.
This includes U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 442 and 463.
Safety information
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
