11:35 AM Elden Fire Lookout is reporting a confirmed new fire start in the vicinity of Bow and Arrow Trail. Harold Ranch. Updates will be in real time and automatically posted below.
11:44 AM The fire is south of Interstate 40 near JW Powell. Police are on the scene, saying at least an acre is on fire.
11:58 PM: Flagstaff Fd and USFS are on scene, The fire is roughly 1.5 acres with a slow rate of spread and low growth potential. The fire is being named the Heart Fire.
12:20 PM: forward progress has been stopped on this fire. Incident command has been transferred and full control expected soon.
