UPDATE: Wildland Fire Reported Near Snowbowl

1:06 PM Summit FD, Flagstaff FD, CCSO Deputies, and USFS are responding to a report of a wildfire in the area of 8500 N Snowbowl Rd. Callers report the fire is starting to grow and appears to be in an abandoned campsite. This is near the bottom of Snowbowl Rd near Highway 180. Summit has a type 3 engine en route. UPDATE: Summit FD is first on the scene of the fire at Snowboawl Ranch Rd and Snowbowl Rd. 1/10th of an acre burning on the ground at this time with slow spread. USFS crews responding as well. FINAL UPDATE: Crews have the fire extinguished. Preliminary investigation points to possibly an abandoned campfire as the cause.
