Original Report

2:17 PM Coconino County Sheriffs, USFS, and multiple fire agencies are responding to the area of mile 2 along the 418 road north of Flagstaff for a fast-moving wildland fire threatening several structures. The fire started from an escaped campfire at a residence. The fire is currently at 5 acres and growing. Residents are moving animals now.

UPDATE 2:29 PM: We believe this fire is being called the Kilo Fire.

UPDATE 2:39 PM: Per CCSO Deputies on the scene saying 3 structures are currently being threatened. Responding deputies are coming lights and sirens to help with evacuation.

UPDATE 3:07 PM Sounds like USFS crews have stopped the fire forward progress toward the homes that were threatened. Active fire fighting is still underway, however.

UPDATE 4:08 PM: The growth of the fire has been stopped. The current acreage estimate is 15-20 acres. No injuries have been reported. Only a handful of residences were evacuated.

UPDATE 4:29 PM: Incident Command is letting people back into their homes at this time.
