FLAGSTAFF, Ariz – Flagstaff City Hall will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Closures and reopening schedules for other City facilities and services are listed below.
Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library and East Flagstaff Community Library
- 12/24/23 – Closing at 12 p.m.
- 12/25/23 – Closed
- 12/31/23 – Downtown location closing at 1 p.m. East Flagstaff location closing at 4 p.m.
- 1/1/24 – Closed
- All library operations will resume on 12/26/23 and 1/2/24 after each holiday.
Jay Lively Activity Center
- 12/24/23 – Open with scheduled programming, closing early at 5 p.m.
- 12/25/23 – Closed
- 12/26/23 – Open with scheduled programming, closing early at 6 p.m.
- 12/31/23 – Open with scheduled programming, closing early at 5 p.m.

Solid Waste Collection Services
City-provided trash and recycling collection services will be operating on a delayed schedule for the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Collection services will not be performed on Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1. Consequently, all trash and recycling collection services will be postponed by one day for both residential and commercial customers. For example, collection services that would normally occur on Mondays will occur on Tuesday during these weeks. Collection services that normally occur on Fridays will be performed on Saturday.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Coconino County’s Administrative Center, the County Manager’s Office, and the County Attorney’s Offices will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2023 and Monday, January 1, 2024 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.
Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) offices and clinic will also be closed. Animal Management will be closed on Christmas Day but there will be an officer available on New Year’s Day from 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Contact the CCHHS Animal Management office at 928-679-8756 to leave a message and an officer will return the call. Call 911 for emergencies.
Parks and Recreation administration offices will also be closed both days, however County parks and natural areas are open for the public to enjoy. Please observe all posted road and trail closure notices.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind all residents and visitors of amendments to the County’s seasonal parking ordinance regarding parking on county roads and rights of way, from November 1 – April 1,and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday.
