Coconino County is currently under no fire restrictions. Residents and visitors are encouraged to responsibly enjoy trails and outdoor recreation areas. Coconino County’s parks and natural areas will remain open during the holiday, but administrative offices at Fort Tuthill County Park will be closed and limited staff or services will be available. The Fort Tuthill Bike Park is open, as are the Fort Tuthill Disc Golf course, and county-managed trails including Soldiers, Bridge, Two-Spot, Gold Digger, and Pumphouse Nature trails. The public is encouraged to visit one of the County’s parks for a morning run, afternoon hike or to view local wildlife.

Although residents and visitors may now safely and lawfully ignite, build, maintain, or use a fire in unincorporated areas, including charcoal briquettes and compliant cooking implements, such as propane-fired grills with an on and off switch, it is important for all residents to recreate responsibly.
