Last night shortly after 11pm CCSO Deputies, State Troopers, Flagstaff police, and BNSF Law Enforcement were alerted to 7 individuals that were attempting to rob a train near Flagstaff. The train was stopped due to a train vs pedestrian accident that had just occurred in the area. There were approximately 7 subjects robbing the train at the Cosnino crossing. BNSF had video of them heading south and CCSO deployed K9 Dex. Per one of the deputies, at least one of the suspects is known to be armed. DPS Helicopter Ranger was launched from Kingman per the request of BNSF. Flagstaff Police arrived to help with the search. In addition to Ranger, BNSF launched their own aircraft (Condor 1) to help with the search. Per CCSO, as of this morning, the suspects have not been located.
