The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents and visitors that Coconino
County’s annual Winter Parking Ordinance is currently in effect.
This ordinance, which applies to the unincorporated neighborhoods and roadways of Coconino County,
takes effect annually November 1 and ends April 1.
Vehicles, trailers, and storage containers left parked on County highways and roads during the snow
season can become hazards to County snow removal operations and emergency vehicle access.
Violation of the ordinance is a civil traffic offense that carries at minimum a $200 fine in addition to
any other penalties that may be imposed for such an offense.
Vehicles parked in violation of this Ordinance are also subject to tow-away at the owner’s expense.
