FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – As 2025 property tax notices begin arriving in the mail, the Coconino County Treasurer’s Office is cautioning residents to watch out for fraudulent websites posing as legitimate payment portals.

Officials say scammers are attempting to trick taxpayers into using unofficial websites that may charge unusual fees or demand payments through questionable methods such as gift cards or wire transfers.

“We want to ensure that taxpayers know the only safe and secure way to pay their property taxes is directly through the County’s official channels,” said Sarah Benatar, Coconino County Treasurer. “Using these channels can prevent financial loss and identity theft.”
