BREAKING: MAJOR CRIME SCENE INCIDENT IN DONEY PARK

1:19 PM CCSO Deputies and Summit EMS are responding to the 9500 block of Stardust Trail in Doney Park for an adult male who has been stabbed. The caller on 911 said they found the victim, but the victim did not say who stabbed him or give a description.
UPDATE 1:25 PM: CCSO is on the scene saying the victim has critical injuries and needs immediate medical attention. The suspect may be inside a nearby home. State Troopers are being called to assist.
UPDATE 1:32 PM: The stabbing victim is being taken to FMC with extremely critical injuries/ multiple stab wounds. Deputies have forced entry into a nearby home and have found at least two more people inside that are very seriously injured. Incident command being established.
UPDATE 1:36 PM: EMS is saying they need more ambulances and engines urgently for multiple critical patients inside the home.
UPDATE 1:39 PM: CCSO is advising one person of their Miranda rights.
UPDATE 1:49 PM: CCSO has the scene secured and under control. This will be an extended crime scene investigation and the area will be closed for an extended period of time. Flagscanner policy prohibits releasing further details regarding the severity of injuries in these types of situations.

An Official update and release from Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is below.
On October 23, 2024, at 1:15 pm Coconino County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing with multiple victims at a residence on Stardust Trail in Doney Park, a residential community approximately 5 miles north of the city of Flagstaff.
Deputies arrived at 1:22 pm and found a male subject outside the house with stab wounds. Deputies rendered emergency aid to the person, and he was eventually transported by ambulance to Flagstaff Medical Center.
Deputies made entry into the residence and located an uninjured male along with 2 deceased individuals.
Upon further investigation, the male located inside the house was identified as a suspect in this investigation and placed under arrest. There are no known outstanding threats to public safety at this time.
Menalek Anthony Dressler, a 30-year-old California man, was booked into the Coconino County Jail for 2 counts of second-degree murder and 1 count of aggravated assault.
