FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Asphalt paving operations are set to begin the week of October 27 along sections of Cedar Avenue and West Street, marking the next major step in the ongoing Museum Flood mitigation project.
Crews will pave one half of the roadway at a time, keeping one lane open in each direction to maintain traffic flow. Access to side streets and driveways may be temporarily restricted while work is underway, but city officials say crews will restore access as soon as new asphalt has been placed and conditions allow.
Once paving is complete, crews will return to adjust utility valves and manholes and finish striping the roadways. All work is highly weather dependent and may be subject to schedule changes.
