9:30 AM Fire crews with the USFS, Ponderosa FD, and Camp Navajo FD are responding to a report of heavy smoke coming from the area of Garland Prarie and Trinity roads near Bellemont. We’ll provide updates as we get them. UPDATE FROM PONDEROSA FD: Raymond fire. 1/8 of an acre forward progress stopped. Forest service will remain on scene to monitor. Thank you to the kaibab national forest, camp Navajo and CCSO. Also to the residents that stopped the fire till we got there.
