On May 16th, 2024 at 5:57 AM, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a female in the Kaibab Estates West area who claimed to be involved in a domestic violence incident. Kaibab Estates West is a rural area in Coconino County north of Ash Fork, AZ. Deputies were advised from dispatch the female on the 911 call was requesting help when voice communication was lost. A scuffle was heard in the background and the connection was lost shortly thereafter. Deputies immediately began an emergency response to the address from the Williams, AZ substation. Upon arrival they found the doors locked and received no response from the residence. During the 911 call, the female mentioned the male subject had a rifle. The Northern Arizona Regional Tactical Team was called to the location to assist. The Tactical Team was able to gain entry into the residence and a search of the house was conducted. Two deceased individuals were located in the residence.
CCSO has no information indicating there is a suspect at large. This matter is still under investigation by the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office. No further information is available at this time.
