FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — On Thursday, August 28, 2025, at approximately 1:24 a.m., Flagstaff Police officers responded to reports of shots fired near Baddies Food Joint, located at 409 S. San Francisco Street.
Initial reports indicated that an altercation had taken place before an unknown suspect allegedly fired multiple rounds. Fortunately, no individuals were struck by the gunfire.
Suspect Description
Witnesses described the suspect as a White male with long blonde hair tied in a ponytail, facial hair, and speaking with what was described as a European or British accent. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a light-colored SUV, reportedly firing additional shots as he traveled southbound.
Technology Helps Investigators Track Suspect
Detectives utilized the City’s Flock Safety License Plate Reader system to match witness accounts with a suspect vehicle. That technology, paired with surveillance video from nearby businesses, allowed investigators to identify the suspect as 30-year-old Tyler John Edmonds of Flagstaff.
Arrest and Charges
At approximately 3:00 p.m. the same day, Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division, with assistance from the Northern Arizona Regional SWAT team, executed a search warrant in the 5000 block of N. Copeland Lane. Edmonds was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility on the following charges:
