FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT
Flood Watch issued August 20 at 10:42AM MDT until August 21 at 6:00AM MDT by NWS Flagstaff AZ
* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE…Gila County, Yavapai County, much of Coconino County. This
includes Payson, Prescott, Camp Verde, Cottonwood, Sedona,
Flagstaff, Williams, Seligman, Ash Fork.

* WHEN…From 1 PM MST this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS…Flooding will be possible in creeks, normally dry
washes, and swimming holes. Low-water crossings could also become
flooded, which would create deadly travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– A surge of tropical moisture will lead to an increased threat
of thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
