High Risk Traffic Stop

6:50 PM CCSO Deputies and State Troopers were informed by Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office that they were chasing a vehicle Northbound on I-17 near Flagstaff. The driver stole a jeep, was armed, and was wanted for assault. A CCSO deputy quickly spotted the vehicle and along with State Troopers, were able to get the driver to stop just north of Ft Tuthill. The driver was ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and taken into custody without incident. Deputies briefly set up spike strips near Kachina Village. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived to assist in the apprehension.
