Around 2 a.m. this morning, Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for an equipment violation, but the driver refused to pull over, leading to a brief pursuit. Due to safety concerns, deputies called off the chase.
Shortly after, a Flagstaff Police Officer located the same vehicle, but the driver again refused to stop. The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed near Elevate Hotel and Dirty Birdies Bar. The driver fled on foot but was captured a short time later.
