7:29 PM US Forest Service, CCSO, Ponderosa Fire, and Camp Navajo Fire are all responding to a report of a wildfire in the area of FS Rd 222A and FS Rd 518. UPDATE 1: Crews are arriving on the scene now and saying the fire is sized at roughly 1-half acre at this time. UPDATE 2: Additional crews are headed to this fire. A fire chief is on the scene saying the fire is very active and growing. He says there are multiple small fires also burning around him and that nearby campers are assisting with suppressing the fires. UPDATE 3: Crews saying they have most of the fire knocked down. Some units are going back to available and being released from the scene. This fire was just north of Bellemont near Wing Mountian. The incident has been turned over to the US Forest Service. FINAL UPDATE: Crews on the scene are saying this appears to be a case of ARSON. This page will auto-refresh and updates will show as we post them.
