Flagstaff, Ariz. — Drivers in Flagstaff should expect temporary road closures and lane shifts next week as the City’s annual Road Repair and Street Safety (RRSS) program kicks into gear.
Starting Monday, July 21, northbound Beulah Boulevard will be closed at Forest Meadows Street for pavement patching. This closure is part of prep work ahead of a full pavement overlay scheduled for August. The closure is expected to last less than 24 hours, and southbound traffic will not be affected.
In addition to Beulah Blvd, several other roadways will see lane restrictions and paving work as part of the RRSS program. Here’s the full schedule:
-
Kaspar Dr & Lynch Ave – July 21–25: Concrete forming and placement
-
Beulah Blvd – July 21: Pavement patching
-
Switzer Canyon Dr – July 22: Pavement patching
-
San Francisco St – July 23–24: Pavement patching
-
Timberline Rd – July 25: Pavement patching
Motorists are advised to use caution, follow posted signage, and plan for minor delays in the work zones.
The City and its contractors are working to limit disruption to residents and businesses. The RRSS program is funded by Proposition 406, a 20-year, $100 million road improvement measure approved by voters in 2014. The initiative focuses on enhancing road safety and improving pavement conditions across Flagstaff.
