at 6:31 PM Coconino National Forest fire crews are responding to a report of smoke on the south end of Agassiz Peak. This is likely due to a lightning strike and we will have updates if and when we get them. Another fire is burning on the camp Navajo military base west of Flagstaff. This fire is currently at 5 acres with a very slow rate of spread. The National Guard has fire crews working on that fire as of this post. The fire is not expected to grow.
