FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The City of Flagstaff announced Tuesday that it has received confirmation from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that the agency has secured office space in Flagstaff.
According to the City, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) confirmed on July 3 that the new Flagstaff sub-office is intended to expand the agency’s enforcement efforts across Arizona.
ICE did not provide additional information regarding when the office will become operational or the scope of its planned activities.
City officials stated that ICE has not requested permission to use City-owned property in connection with the new office. If such a request is received in the future, the City Manager will respond in accordance with the City’s recently adopted Directive on the Use of City Property.
The City also encouraged residents who observe activity involving federal agencies that they believe is concerning to submit information through the City’s secure online reporting portal.
Officials said they will continue providing updates to the public as additional information regarding ICE operations in Flagstaff becomes available.
Community members with questions about the new Flagstaff office or ICE operations may contact the ICE ERO Phoenix Field Office at Phoenix.Outreach@ice.dhs.gov or (602) 257-5900.
