4:32 PM The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office has informed us they are conducting an investigation right now surrounding a dead body that was located near a campfire at the Sunset Crater Visitors Center this afternoon. CCSO did not comment any further, however, scanner traffic and witnesses tell us there is a very large law enforcement presence on the scene and that a pretty extensive search is underway as well for unknown reasons. Per a request from CCSO, this post was delayed several hours. We will post more when an official press release comes.
