Upcoming Public Hearings on the Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz – The City of Flagstaff will hold a Citizen’s Review Session and three public hearings, beginning this month, to consider adoption of the Flagstaff Regional Plan 2045 as a comprehensive update of the City’s General Plan. The public hearing draft of the Regional Plan is available online and the City invites the Flagstaff community to read the draft, submit comments, and attend the hearings, which will be held according to the following schedule. A virtual option will be provided for each meeting.

Citizen’s Review Session at the Flagstaff Planning and Zoning Commission Work Session
Wednesday, August 27, starting at 4pm.
Held at City Hall Council Chambers (211 W Aspen Ave, Flagstaff, AZ 86001).
Flagstaff Planning and Zoning Commission – Public Hearing #1
Wednesday, September 10, 4pm to 7:30pm.
Held at the Flagstaff Aquaplex (1702 N Fourth St, Flagstaff, AZ 86004)

Wednesday, September 24, starting at 4pm.

The Citizen’s Review Session will provide an overview of the Regional Plan and address questions about its content. The hearings will focus on whether the plan’s content meets requirements for adoption and is supported by the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. The second Planning and Zoning Commission hearing will be a continuation of the first hearing. Each meeting will include time for public comment. Written comments can also be submitted in advance to RegionalPlan45Comments@flagstaffaz.gov. Comments emailed to this address will be distributed directly to Commissioners, Councilmembers, and staff.
The Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 is available online at www.flagstaff.az.gov/RegionalPlan2045, along with interactive maps and supplemental information. The Regional Plan sets high-level guidance for policy decisions over the next decade and is especially relevant for future land-use and development decisions.
